Mike's tips!Check out Consumers Beverages' online inventory of available kegs. At Consumers, we are interested in helping you make the right selection for your party, picnic, wedding, BBQ, or whatever occasion. It can be very challenging trying to plan drinks for a party. The weather, length of party and age group will significantly impact what and how much your guests will drink. Here are some helpful tips from the party planning team at Consumers Beverages.

Barrel specs

Quarter Barrel - 7 3/4 gallons, 3 1/3 cases or approx 84 12oz servings

Half Barrel - 15 1/2 gallons, 6 3/4 cases or approx 168 12oz servings

Keg tips

1. Kegged beer is NOT pasteurized. IT MUST BE KEPT COLD AT ALL TIMES.
2. Don't roll the keg.
3. Open the tap faucet quickly and all the way.
4. Only pump the tap when the flow of beer slows down.
5. Only pump the keg when the faucet is open.
6. Never pick up a keg by the pump, this will result in both damage to the keg and tap.
